Welcome to the official home of the Wong-Baker FACES® Pain Rating Scale. This tool was originally created with children to help them communicate about their pain.  Now it is used around the world with people ages 3 and older, improving assessment so pain management can be addressed. We invite you to take a few minutes to explore the resources on our website.

Though we offer a Personal Use agreement for our scale, organizations using the Wong-Baker FACES® Pain Rating Scale may need a licensing agreement.

As a Licensee, you will:

• Be free to use our official scale, a standard in healthcare, throughout your institution, including electronic medical records, patient care, education material, and intranet.
• Receive high-quality digital formats of our scale to create your own tools, for instance, patient boards, bedside cards, and posters.
• Have access to a growing number of language translations that allow you to be responsive to your patients’ communication needs.
