Ms. Baker,
Thank you for allowing me the use of your pain scale. I am a Registered Nurse with a company that takes care of adults with severe mental disabilities and autism, and many of them are nonverbal or are unable to understand that there is a range of numbers between 0 and 10 when describing their pain. So far, the FACES scale has been a success! Our Health Service’s Coordinator is going to present it to the rest of the nurses at our next nurses meeting and attempt to implement its use in the other facilities.

Thank you. They were very helpful. I used them to teach student nurses different scales that can be used to measure pain. Thank you for allowing me to use them. I have used them in the past in the clinical area and recognized them as a wonderful means to evaluate the level of pain in patients. I have admired Dr. Wong for many years and did not realize that she had passed. She was such an outstanding professional whose contributions to nursing have really made a positive influence for generations to come.

I am a registered nurse and work in a pediatric clinic and I am using the FACES as an education tool for assessing and documenting pain levels. I love them! Even for adults. Asking 0-10 is so abstract. My Front Desk Coordinator is in the process of purchasing some of your bookmarks for use in our clinic.
